Safeguarding Adult Review in Respect of ‘Marie’

The North Yorkshire Safeguarding Adults Board (NYSAB) has accepted the findings and recommendations of a Safeguarding Adult Review (SAR) that the Board commissioned regarding ‘Marie’.

‘Marie’ was a 30-year-old woman who sadly died March 2023 after having contact with multiple agencies across North Yorkshire. The review seeks to understand the issues that prevented those involved from being able to properly help and protect ‘Marie’ from harm and provides recommendations which aim to support good working practices for the future.

The purpose of a Safeguarding Adult Review is to look at how multiple agencies can best work together to protect people and provide recommendations on how lessons can be learned from their experiences to improve practice and services.

North Yorkshire Safeguarding Adults Board offer their sincere condolences to Marie’s family and friends.
