The North Yorkshire Domestic Abuse Partnership have produced a video on coercive and controlling behaviour

Below is the link to a video that has been promoted across North Yorkshire Police social media – this is the second in a series of videos that the partnership have produced.

The first video was published during Safeguarding week and the link was shared via our July newsletter. The video focuses on how the Police and partners work together to safeguard victims of domestic abuse. You can view this video on the North Yorkshire Police website here: https://northyorkshire.police.uk/news/video-how-the-police-and-partners-work-together-to-safeguard-victims-of-domestic-abuse/

In this 2nd video Chief Inspector Al Westcott talks to Carmel Offord from IDAS and they discuss the following –

• How to spot the signs of a coercive and controlling relationship

• Support and advice services available

• Action the Police can take
