Hate Crime Awareness Week 2024

Programme of free on-line sessions announced for Hate Crime Awareness Week 12th – 19th October 2024.

Partners from Community Safety Partnerships, Adults Boards, Children’s Safeguarding Partnerships, across North Yorkshire and the City of York have come together and developed an extensive programme of learning events and interactive sessions, which all underpin this year’s Hate Crime Awareness Week campaign.

Spurred on by the success of the previous three years of Hate Crime Awareness Week campaigns, partners of the York and North Yorkshire Inclusive Communities Joint Coordinating Group have worked to increase the range of topics being covered this year to provide an inclusive schedule of online webinars for professionals, whilst also offering ‘face to face’ engagement events at a local level.

The week-long programme caters for professionals who want to learn more about hate crime and how it can impact on our communities; covering topics including Disability, Misogyny, cultural and interfaith awareness and gender identity.  The sessions have been designed to stimulate discussion, spark innovation and share best practice. Each session will be delivered by inspirational and motivational speakers, all of whom are experts in their field.

The full programme is available online now on the North Yorkshire Partnership website: https://nypartnerships.org.uk/hcawcsp and early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
