Creating Hope Through Action
Thursday 9th September – 1:00pm – 2:00pm
To mark World Suicide Prevention Day, which takes place on Friday 10th September, the NYSAB, North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NYSCP) and North Yorkshire Community Safety Partnership will be hosting a webinar on Suicide Prevention on Thursday 9th September.
This year’s theme is Creating Hope Through Action which is very timely and follows on perfectly from the inspiring Suicide Prevention presentation given by Pat Sowa during safeguarding week, which is available to watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRXKQHi_dg0
The hour-long webinar will feature a small panel and will be chaired by Claire Robinson, Health Improvement Manager in Public Health and portfolio holder of Suicide Prevention.
The panel will answer questions, discuss services and support available, action that can and needs to be taken – particularly in relation to training and the personal and professional responsibility of people to help address suicide prevention.
The mix of panellists will ensure we hear different perspectives on key issue whilst highlighting a collective aim to address what we can do to prevent suicide – creating hope through action.
There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions at the end of the session.
This webinar is for professionals only however it will be recorded and once reviewed, will be later shared on the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Adults Board website.
